HellRaisers have announced that they will not attend the offline finals of CEVO Season 8. The Ukrainian team had qualified for the CEVO finals after finishing in third place in the European division, level on points with G2, who had the worse head-to-head record of the two. However, HellRaisers have now announced that they will be relinquishing their spot at the event, citing "medical reasons" from one of their players as the reason to skip the $150,000 tournament.
The time that HellRaisers would spend competing in the United States with a stand-in will instead be used to prepare for the other leagues in which they are competing, the FACEIT League, the ESL ESEA Pro League and StarSeries, the Ukrainian organisation added.
CEVO has not yet stated who will step into the shoes of HellRaisers, but it is likely that G2 are the first team in line to replace the Ukrainian side at the event, which will take place from November 6-8. The list of participants for the event currently looks as follows:
